Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) opener Abhishek Sharma hit a six at Lucknow’s Ekana Stadium, breaking the windscreen of the sponsored automobile.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar, a veteran pacer, bowled the second over of the first innings and was smashed for a six on the fifth delivery by SRH’s opener. The experienced pacer threw a short ball just outside off, which the left-hander read early and smashed over deep midwicket for a maximum. The ball hit directly on the windscreen of the sponsored automobile, shattering it and eliciting loud cheers from the spectators.

As kids, breaking mirrors meant getting scolded… 😉😌

But when Abhishek does it with a six? He gets a standing ovation!
Oh, how times change! 😜👏💥

Notably, the match was shifted from the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru to Lucknow’s Ekana Cricket Stadium due to persistent rain in the Karnataka capital. RCB’s previous fixture against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the venue was washed out without toss.

Meanwhile, Jitesh Sharma stepped in as RCB captain after Rajat Patidar was moved to the Impact Player role due to a finger injury. RCB also brought in Mayank Agarwal in place of the injured Devdutt Padikkal. On the other hand, SRH brought in Travis Head, Abhinav Manohar, and Jaydev Unadkat into the playing XI.

RCB had already qualified for the playoffs and entered this match in second place on the IPL 2025 points table with 17 points. A win here will propel them to the top of the standings, surpassing Gujarat Titans (GT), who now lead with 18 points. SRH has already been eliminated from the playoffs and is currently ranked eighth with nine points. The Pat Cummins-led side hopes to finish the season on a strong note with a victory over the Bengaluru-based franchise.
