Ravindra Jadeja dropped out of the top ten bowlers’ ICC rankings in men’s Tests following his performance in India’s first Test of the ongoing series against England. Jadeja was one of several team members who did not do well at Headingley.
The spin-bowling all-rounder scored 11 off 15 and 25* off 40 in India’s first and second innings, respectively. However, his performance with the ball was far from impressive. He bowled a total of 47 overs in both innings. Aside from Ben Stokes’ wicket (33 off 51) in the second innings, he failed to make a single breakthrough.
Due to his poor performance, he dropped to 13th place. As of Wednesday, June 25, Ravindra Jadeja has a rating of 706.
This is a key milestone in his Test career. He has spent the vast portion of his career among the top ten bowlers. Jadeja held the top spot from March to August 2017.
