In the first IPL 2025 qualifier between the Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Mullanpur Cricket Stadium, Yash Dayal scored early to dismiss Priyansh Arya. After scoring seven runs off five deliveries, the 23-year-old left the pitch.

A delivery on the decent length outside the off stump channel was bowled by the left-arm seamer. Priyansh timed it fairly nicely by leaning into the cover drive, but he was unable to locate the ideal position and ultimately gave Krunal Pandya a simple catch at cover.

Yash Dayal secured his second breakthrough in his third over as Nehal Wadhera (eight off 10) fell victim to a half-hearted drive, which ended up disturbing his stumps.

Wadhera was the fifth batter to fall for PBKS. RCB were on an absolute roll after winnning the toss and electing to field first.

The winner of the game will straightaway secure a berth in the final. The summit clash will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedad on Tuesday, June 3. Given RCB impeccable start with the ball, they seem the favourites to be going through.

As far as their standings after the league phase is concerned, PBKS and RCB won nine, lost four, and had a no-result apiece. Both of the franchises ended up on 19 points. Although PBKS topped the points table courtesy of their marginally superior net run rate (+0.372 vs 0.301).
