In a bowler-dominated World Test Championship (WTC) Final between Australia and South Africa, the first six wickets took 547 balls.
Australia has major names like Cameron Green, Beau Webster, and Travis Head, while South Africa has Ryan Rickelton and Tristan Stubbs, but Temba Bavuma, an unlikely choice, broke the impasse.
That’s right, after scoring only 3 runs off 37 balls on day one, the Proteas skipper came out with intent and eventually hit the first six of the final, hammering his counterpart Pat Cummins for a massive six over mid-wicket in the 35th over of the second innings.
It was a spectacular hit, but the real excitement began when the ball cleared the boundary rope.
For starters, a spectator saw Temba Bavuma in the throng and caught him like a pro before celebrating with his palms up in the air.
But what was even better was that the spectator was a duplicate of Cummins, the Australian captain. Cummins eventually got his revenge, dismissing Bavuma for 36 after a superb catch by Marnus Labuschagne.
