Jitesh Sharma, the vice-captain of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), hit back-to-back sixes off Punjab Kings (PBKS) pacer Kyle Jamieson in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 Final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The Kiwi pacer arrived to bowl the 17th over of the contest, with Jitesh and Liam Livingstone at the crease.

Jitesh Sharma hit a beautiful scoop shot off the first ball of the over.

The right-handed hitter did not move inside the line, but instead bent his back and scooped it cleanly over the ropes.

Jamieson bowled the following ball at a length, and the wicketkeeper-batsman came down the track and muscled it over long-off. The ball did not come off the middle of the bat, but it still travelled the distance. The PBKS bowler attempted to challenge Jitesh with the short ball early, but he just read the bowler’s mind and capitalised on it.

The Rajat Patidar-led squad scored 190 in the opening innings of the summit showdown, with Indian veteran Virat Kohli getting 43 off 34. All of Mayank Agarwal, Rajat Paitdar, Jitesh, and Livingstone scored in the 20s but failed to capitalise.

Jamieson and Arshdeep Singh grabbed three wickets for PBKS in four overs, while Azmatullah Omarzai, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Vijaykumar Vyshak each took one. PBKS needed to chase down 191 runs in the second innings to win the IPL 2025.

Notably, both franchises entered the key match with no changes to their playing XI and are vying for their first IPL title.
