Harpreet Brar, who was interviewed by broadcasters during the match between the Punjab Kings and the Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2025, discussed what he learnt from Yuzvendra Chahal. Brar hailed Chahal as an IPL spin bowling superstar, noting that he is the league’s all-time highest wicket-taker.

Brar has been playing in the Kings’ last several games owing to Chahal’s wrist injury. He performed admirably in those matches, most notably against the Rajasthan Royals. The aspiring spinner stated that he wanted to learn something from Chahal and did so.

“Obviously, he’s the league’s leading wicket-taker. To be clear, he is a legend among spinners. Before the season started, I wanted to learn something from him, and I did,” Brar told JioHotstar.

Cricket is a great game. Harpreet Brar

The PBKS spinner reported that the leg spinner struggled to collect wickets in the first few matches, but then came back roaring with a slew of them. Brar remarked that he discovered that cricket is a hilarious game in which things may alter in a couple of seconds.

“You would have seen that Chahal did not take wickets in the first few matches of the season. However, when he began to take wickets, they came in droves. Cricket is a great game. I’ve learnt that you need to wait – it doesn’t take long for your time to shift (laughs).” Brar remarked.
