At the RCB Unbox event on Tuesday, March 19, at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, Indian Premier League (IPL) team Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) revealed their new uniform ahead of the IPL 2024. Prominent DJ and music producer Alan Walker attended the event as well, and he was given the new RCB match kit with his name on the back by Smriti Mandhana, Faf du Plessis, and Virat Kohli.
In contrast to the previous season, RCB’s colors now have a new texture thanks to the blue upper part of the jersey, which was formerly black.
Notably, the franchise threw a star-studded fan celebration that included performances by Alan Walker, Raghu Dixit, Neeti Mohan, and many more.

The men’s squad presented a guard of honor to the RCB women’s team in recognition of their recent Women’s Premier League victory to start the event. In the second year of the competition, Smriti Mandhana’s team defeated the Delhi Capitals women by eight wickets to win the trophy.
As the Bengaluru audience erupted in celebration of the team’s first-ever title win, the WPL champions performed a victory lap around the stadium. Shreyanka Patil, a local girl, Renuka Singh Thakur, Captain Mandhana, and the rest of the team were seen dancing with pleasure and waving to the spectators in the stands.
IPL 2024 season opener between RCB and CSK
In addition to Virat Kohli and skipper Faf du Plessis, other men’s squad members addressed the crowd before the 17th IPL tournament by showing up on the pitch for the jersey launch. Notably, on Friday, March 22, at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, RCB will start their captain against their southern rivals, the Chennai Super Kings.
The Faf du Plessis-captained team will try to start the season with a victory and aim to place in the top four after missing the playoffs the previous year.
