A number of unique celebrations were held during the recent RCB Unbox event, which was held at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, in anticipation of the upcoming 17th edition of the Indian Premier League.
The men’s squad presented the women’s team with a guard of honor after the latter won the Women’s Premier League (WPL) for the first time, defeating the Delhi Capitals women in the championship match.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru made another announcement at the ceremony. The franchise made the startling announcement that Royal Challengers Bangalore will become Royal Challengers Bengaluru come IPL 2024.

In the first IPL 2024 match, RCB plays CSK.
In terms of RCB’s next assignment, the team will play the MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings on March 22 in the tournament’s season opener. The teams will try to get off to a fast start when they play each other at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium.

As the reigning champions, the Chennai Super Kings will take the field. MS Dhoni led Chennai to victory over the Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2023 summit match, making them the joint-highest title holders and winning the tournament for the fifth time overall.
In contrast, Royal Challengers Bengaluru had a forgettable season in the IPL 2023 after losing to other teams in the tournament’s group rounds. Bengaluru had 14 points from 14 games, good for sixth place overall.
