Virat Kohli, the batsman for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), endured some difficult circumstances in 2017. But lately, the ace batter has been contributing to the runs. In the current Indian Premier League (IPL) season, he scored an undefeated 82 against the Mumbai Indians (MI). This was his greatest performance to date.
The former captain of India has inspired those who are close to him. After writing an inspirational poem recently, he is now using words to inspire others.
On Tuesday, April 4, RCB posted a video of Virat Kohli writing and reading an inspirational poem on the spot while appearing on the “RCB Insider” show. “Poetry in motion on and off the field,” the franchise captioned the video when it shared it. Importantly, his on-air delivery conveyed his bubbling confidence.
Here is what Virat Kohli wrote so beautifully:
“Your desire will be fulfilled; start the fire. Batten down the hatches, sometimes 263 and sometimes 49. You could find yourself in a pickle sometimes, but try to laugh it off. Life goes on whether you receive a hundred or a duck; don’t get bogged down. Ride the tide; you are your own guide. There is no chart.” Virat Kohli amazingly wrote this poetry on the spot.
Meanwhile, the fans have been praising and loving the lovely poetry that the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) team shared on their Twitter account.
Virat Kohli displayed his batting prowess against KKR to help his team win.
With RCB defeating the five-time champion Mumbai Indians in their inaugural match of the season, Virat Kohli had a gracious start to the IPL 2023. Speaking of the 172-run chase, Kohli’s blitzkrieg was a perfect blend of aggression and pure class. In his ferocious knock, the chase master hit six sixes and an equal number of boundaries. It is important to note that Kohli also hit a six to end the game.
The fact that he not only scored the game-winning run but also joined captain Faf du Plessis for a key opening stand of 148 runs to give RCB a strong start helps to explain the significance of his knock. Incidentally, Plessis also recorded a scorching fifty (73 off 43 deliveries).
The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will now square off on April 6 at the renowned Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
