For the second time, Virat Kohli gave a bat to Rinku Singh, the standout batsman for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). After the first game of the ongoing IPL 2024 season between KKR and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in Bengaluru on March 29, Kohli gave Rinku a bat as a sign of his appreciation for his progress.
Before their April 21 reverse match, Rinku disclosed that he unfortunately broke that exceptional bat. Along with offering to demonstrate the broken one, he also kindly requested that the former RCB hitter send him another one.
Rinku was seen clutching yet another bat that Virat Kohli had given her in a recent video that KKR shared on X, formerly Twitter.
A fan asked Rinku, “Rinku bhai, bat mila?”
“Mil gya,” Rinku said, holding up a bat.

While RCB suffers, KKR enjoys an amazing campaign.
In the current Indian Premier League (IPL 2024), the Kolkata Knight Riders are enjoying a fantastic run. With seven games played and ten wins, they are now second in the points table, only behind the Rajasthan Royals. Both times that KKR and RCB faced off this season, the reigning champs came out on top.
Conversely, the campaign for RCB has been underwhelming. The group, captained by Faf du Plessis, has won just one of its last eight games and is presently at the bottom of the ten-team standings. They are now facing off against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.

The second meeting between KKR and RCB this season took place at Eden Gardens in Kolkata, and it was an exciting game. Phil Salt’s blistering 48 and Shreyas Iyer’s half-century helped KKR, who were allowed to bat first, set a lofty goal of 223 runs in the first inning. The RCB batsmen gave it their all in the final over, but despite a valiant effort, they lost by just one run.
