In November 2013, Tendulkar participated in his final international match of his career. After playing his 200th Test against the West Indies at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, the soon-to-be 50-year-old retired from all forms of cricket. She came to support him one last time despite the physical difficulties, he continued, adding that his mother had never gone to any of his matches.

“Even though I had been playing for a very long time, my mom had never seen any of the games before the final Test match. You must come, I told my mother. Her physical limitations made it impossible for her to attend, but she promised to do so for me and showed up in a wheelchair. My dad informed me you’ve realized your dream. Then he said that he wanted me to live a wonderful life because that would be something that would endure.
