That's all from this match. We witnessed some insane hitting from Liam Livingstone and Josh Inglis in the chase and they just made it a one-sided affair. On Tuesday, there is JUST one match lined up in BBL 2019/20. It's going to be a bottom of the table clash as Melbourne Renegades will be hosting Hobart Hurricanes at the Docklands Stadium. Do join us at 1910 local (0810 GMT) for all the action. Cheers!
LIAM LIVINGSTONE is chosen for the MAN OF THE MATCH award! Starts by saying that Josh Inglis deserves it more. Shares that they have had a few partnerships and Josh a special talent. Adds that once the first over happened, you are off and away and the credit goes to Inglis. Tells that he was trying to clear the shorter boundaries. States that he is just trying to improve his game and the way Inglis batted, it took all the pressure off him. Mentions that it's always nice to see English boys doing good all around the world and is happy with today's win.
It was a listless performance by Sydney Thunder in all the departments of the game. Their batting faltered, their bowlers were clueless and then a few catches also went down in the field. An evening to forget and with just two more games left for them in the league stage, they cannot afford any more slip-ups.
A resounding win for Perth Scorchers! They played out a perfect game to break their 2-match losing streak and jump to the number 4 spot on the points table. First, it was their bowlers who stepped up to restrict Sydney Thunder to a paltry total and then their openers went hammer and tongs. Josh Inglis smashed Daniel Sams for 17 runs in the first over and that set the tone for the Scorchers. Both Inglis and Liam Livingstone went berserk after that and killed the chase in the Powerplay itself. The pair continued to add 136 runs together and didn't give any sniff to the Thunder.

Morris angles in a length ball around off, Livingstone swings his bat across the line but doesn't get enough distance and elevation of his shot. OUT! What a catch! And it's DOGGETT who has done exceedingly well to take the catch. Shows the desperation and redeems himself in the field after two dropped catches. His teammates are delighted for him. Sandhu bangs in a short delivery outside off, Inglis top edges his pull shot towards mid-wicket. Doggett runs across to his right at mid-wicket, slides and completes the catch. Always kept his eyes on the ball. He is getting mobbed by the Thunder players.

154 to win for the Scorchers. They will swap places with the Thunder, should they win, moving to fourth place. The pitch is two-paced, without a doubt but if the home side paces its innings according to a plan, it can chase down 154. Stay tuned for what could be a sluggish run chase...
The Scorchers were excellent with the ball in front of their home crowd. They kept bowling slow balls after slow balls and ensured that the innings was slow throughout. Only Mitchell Marsh got some stick. Chris Jordan strut his stuff with a 3-fer.

UNDER-19 WORLD CUP UPDATE - Good news for Australian fans. After their close defeat to the Windies, they have crushed Nigeria an hour ago, first bowling them out for a paltry 61 and then chasing it down inside 8 overs. They would now be closely watching the West Indies-England game, where the Caribbeans have posted a challenging 267/7. For sure, the Aussies would be supporting the Windies.

OUT! Yet another fantastic catch by Josh Inglis! There's nothing special on this delivery. It's short on middle and leg, angling down and there to be pulled. Sams attempts to unfurl that but gloves it behind. Inglis flies across to his left and takes a stunning catch. A couple of setbacks in the over for the Thunder as they slip further.

OUT! Fawad strikes first ball and it's a big blow as the batsman in form, Callum Ferguson is out of here. A well-tossed up ball landing full on middle, Ferguson tries to flick but closes the face of the bat early. The ball straightens a touch as well after hitting the pitch and grabs the leading edge. It flies straight into the hands of Mitchell Marsh at short extra cover. Perth Scorchers are going great currently.
Time for spin! Fawad Ahmed is introduced into the attack.

Double-header in BBL 2019/20 continues to come at a brisk rate and we are enjoying each and every match lined up. Hello and welcome everyone for the second game of the evening between Perth Scorchers and Sydney Thunder at the former's home ground. This match holds great importance for the race to get in the playoffs as both these teams are currently below the top three and would like to secure their positions up top. The hosts started to peak with a hat-trick of wins but in their previous two games against the Stars, their campaign once again got derailed. Sydney Thunder, on the contrary, dominated a rain-affected derby versus Sydney Sixers where the bowlers delivered the best performance of their season. Right now they've the momentum but cannot count too much on it when locking horns against the mercurial Scorchers. We are expecting a close game at the Optus Stadium.
