Aiden Markram's leadership has been commendable, and the fielding has been beyond excellent which has been the core of South Africa defending such a low total in the 2nd T20 which supported the bowling in a massive way. South Africa had decent small partnerships but none of the substance and stability to get them home. There were individualistic small contributions from the top and right throughout the middle order but they have relied on individual brilliance, such as Heinrich Klaasen and Jansen’s aggressive innings towards the end, but they have struggled to maintain the tempo against India's disciplined attack. Klaasen and Miller were the the duo who were gearing up in the lower middle order, to take South Africa over the line but the pressure of a herculean target saw them perish early. Despite their fight in the 3rd T20, where they threatened at several points, the late collapse sealed their fate. Their bowlers, including the pace duo of Gerald Coetzee and Marco Janen, have been inconsistent, allowing India to push for big scores but Simelane and Keshav Maharaj chipped in with a couple of wickets to pull back India's belligerent scoring. As the series heads into the 4th T20I, India will look to clinch the series with a strong finish. Expect continued leadership from Suryakumar Yadav, whose tactical insights have been vital.
