BEN STOKES IS NAMED PLAYER OF THE MATCH for his brilliant performance. Ben starts by saying that he is fine on being asked about the niggle and tells that he did not want to take a risk. On his long bowling spell, Stokes says that he is ready to give everything for the team. Feels that once he bowled 5-6 overs, he felt that he should just keep bowling. Adds that in the first innings, they felt that there wasn't much movement off the surface. Adds that they used the short ball tactics well. On his batting performance in both the innings, tells that both the innings were played at a different scenarios. Feels that the bowlers should get a lot of credit for their performance in the final session of Day 4. On him batting over 300 balls to get to his ton, Stokes laughs and says that he never thought he will face that many balls.

England skipper, Joe Root says that it was a brilliant week's cricket and says they have made progress in their batting and hopes to see more of 400+ scores. Tells they were in a position to finish it up and did so brilliantly. On Sibley, Root says that they want him to go out there and set the platform and tells that he is getting better with each game he plays. On Stokes, he says he does not surprise him as he leads the way in many ways and he keeps getting better and better. Tells he is a great example for everyone. Adds that Broad led the attack brilliantly and they know that he has a lot of cricket left in him. On the decisions to be made before the next Test, he says it was always going to be a challenge as they had all their bowlers fit and tells it is going to be tricky.

West Indies skipper, Jason Holder, says that they are disappointed with their performance but credits England for their performance. Mentions Stokes' performance in the game made a lot of difference. Tells that there are a few points to ponder on for them in the next couple of days, like whether they should come forward or stay back to play or leave the balls. Feels that they batted quite well for a decent amount of time but credits the English bowlers for coming hard. Says that there's no regret regarding the decision at toss and feels that Sibley and Stokes should be given the credit the way they batted. Tells that they will look to see how all the guys pull up and decide about the team for the next game. Finishes by saying that they are here for win and they will give their all in the decider.

England bowlers were superb with the ball in this innings even though there was hardly any assistance for them. Broad got one in the first over and then they kept coming and coming and got wickets at regular intervals. Brooks and Blackwood resisted with respective half tons but once they were dismissed, things became tough for the visitors and England eventually bundled them out well before the allotted overs for Day 5. Apart from skipper Joe Root who bowled 10 deliveries, all the bowlers got wickets at crucial moments to help the hosts level the series.

West Indies batters did superbly in the first innings and were playing calmly with Brathwaite, Brooks and Chase getting to their half-centuries. However, once England took the second new ball, West Indies lost their way and somehow managed to avoid the follow-on with Chase helping them do that. Broad and Woakes finished with 3 apiece while Curran got 2 and Stokes and Bess took 1 wicket.

Earlier in the game, after winning the toss, Holder opted to bowl first. They started well with a couple of wickets early on but Sibley and Stokes combined for a marathon stand and took England towards a huge total. Both brought up their respective tons. They eventually declared on 469/9. Discussions were going around regarding the approach of Sibley and Stokes during that partnership knowing the fact that there were chances of rain on Day 3. For the Windies bowlers, it was a long toil that lasted for nearly 2 days with Chase taking a fifer. As per the forecast, the entire day's play on Day 3 was washed out.

What a terrific comeback from England to level the series! After the Day 3 washout and then the way West Indies batters batted in the first innings, it looked like there was just one result, i.e. a draw but Broad with a brilliant spell turned things around first and then earlier on in the morning session, Ben Stokes with his fluent knock gave the side a terrific opportunity to seal the game.

A very good session of Test cricket. It looked like West Indies would lose just one wicket but the hard work, effort and commitment of Stokes ensured that they break the 100-run stand right before Tea and head to the break with momentum on their side. It was a fascinating session of cricket as after getting rid of Roston Case early in the session, it looked like the hosts were cruising but Blackwood joined Brooks out in the middle and the pair put up a brilliant fight with both getting to their respective half centuries and adding a 100-run stand. It looked like the duo had done enough and would go to Tea unscathed but right at the stroke of Tea, Blackwood fell prey to Stokes' vicious bouncer and it is England who will feel like they have the momentum. West Indies are still in this with a fighting chance to draw. England, on the other hand, still have a lot to do as Brooks is out there and Dowrich and West Indies' best batter in the side, Holder still to come. West Indies have a lot to think about as everything that could possibly go wrong has went wrong in the first session of the final day. They leaked runs to begin the day. Needing 312 to win but more importantly surviving 85 overs, the tourists would have wanted their openers to at least see off the session but Campbell's poor day continued as after dropping a sitter of Stokes earlier in the day, he was dismissed in the very first over. The tourists have looked lackluster with the willow and are in a troublesome position. They would look to improve and have a much better second session. A brilliant morning session for England first hour or less with the bat and the remaining with the ball. The day started off with some aggressive batting by Stokes sprinkled with some luck as he was dropped by John Campbell. An aggressive innings from Stokes gave the hosts a lead in excess of 300 and after declaring with the lead of 311, the hosts would have looked for a couple of wickets from their new ball bowlers. That is what they got, the returning Broad proved why he shouldn't be dropped as he picked two and his new ball partner Woakes getting one. The hosts are clearly on top of this game.

Another on-field decision referred upstairs as England think they have another wicket. Chase is the man in question. Let's see what the replays have to show. No problems with the front foot. However,the Ball Tracker shows that it would miss the leg stump.

After an enthralling day's play on Day 4 where first West Indies batters didn't give an inch in the first two session but Broad and Woakes inflicted a collapse in the final one to make things interesting on the final day of this 2nd Test. England are ahead by 219 runs at the moment. It is them who will be desperate to go for the win while West Indies would not mind settling for a draw. England needs some quick runs and then maybe 60-odd overs to bowl West Indies out. West Indies, on the other hand, would look to take a couple of more quick wickets and try not to give easy runs. So, England are ahead by 219 runs. After how many runs they will feel safe? Maybe another 100 runs? Or maybe they will think to play the first session on Day 5 and try to bowl West Indies out in the remaining two sessions. Lots of ifs and buts to answer but well, you will get all the answers when you join us for the 5th day's play on Monday, 20th July 2020 at 1100 Local (1000 GMT). Earlier in the day, after some fine batting performances from Brathwaite, Brooks and Chase, it looked like West Indies will bat out the entire day but once England opted for the second new ball, Stuart Broad breathed fire and took quick wickets to make the game interesting. However, Chase with his half ton made sure West Indies went past the follow-on score and forced England to bat again.

England needed quick runs in these few overs and they intended to do the same when they sent Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler to open the innings. However, Buttler fell without scoring and Crawley too didn't add much to the score. Roach picked both the wickets for West Indies. England finish the 4th day with a lead of 219 runs.

An exciting day of Test cricket comes to a close but the final day promises to be an equally interesting one with the possibility of all the results.

England's bowling, not bad at all but they had their limitations after Day 3 was washed out completely. They needed more wickets earlier in the day but that did not come as early as they wanted. When they took the second new ball, Broad took quick wickets and it looked like they might bundle West Indies before the follow-on target. But that didn't happen. Broad and Woakes finished with a 3-fer while Curran got 2.

Joseph, the nightwatchman fell early but Brathwaite along with Hope and then with Brooks steadied the ship and added important runs with both the batters getting to their half tons. Chase too played a very good knock of 51 and helped the team avoid the follow-on.

Right! A decent batting performance from West Indies to avoid the follow-on. They wouldn't be too happy though as they were in a pretty strong position at Tea but lost wickets in clusters in this session. But they have managed to get past the follow-on challenge and have forced England to bat again.

A good session for West Indies as they lost two wickets but have edged closer to avoid the follow-on which is their first target. The post Lunch session did not begin the way they would have wanted as they lost Hope early but Brooks joined Brathwaite in the fight and the pair added 76 before the opener was dismissed against the run of play for 75. Brooks though has continued his battle and is looking impressive on 60. England needed more than the 2 wickets but have found it difficult. The bowlers have put in a lot of effort though but to little success. The new ball is not far away and the hosts would like to make the most of it in the final session and try to bowl the tourists out. STUMPS ON DAY 3! It was expected that rain would play spoilsport and it indeed has played its part to perfection. It kept pouring and pouring and pouring and eventually rain managed to dominate and win Day 3. England are on top but today's no play day works in the favour of the tourists as their tired players got the rest they would have been looking for. That is it from Day 3. Moving to the situation of the game, the Windies won't mind the rain as they are on the back foot in this game. England on the other hand, will be eagerly waiting for the showers to stop, not to forget this is a must win game for them, if they do not win this, then they can't win the series. The forecast though is not promising at all for today and all they can do now is wait and keep their fingers crossed.

England's day! They are in firm control of this game. They batted most of the day, ensured that the Windies toiled for more than two sessions as they put a mammoth score and then have also managed to send one of the openers packing. They would have obviously loved another, they could have got another had they reviewed on the second last ball of the day but they will be happy with their overall work. More of the same is what Root will be hoping for on Day 3. The Windies bowlers gave it their all, they bowled with discipline and with a lot of heart. A couple of their bowlers faced injury issues which did not help their cause. To add to that, the wicket also wasn't assisting the pacers a lot but it did provide purchase to their only spinner who is also the pick of the bowlers, Chase. He finishes with a fifer. Roach had two to his name. Joseph and Holder took one each whereas, Gabriel failed to pick even one.

Finally, the England innings comes to an end! They have declared at 469/9. The hosts though would have loved to reach the 500-run mark but the acceleration did not quite go as they planned. They kept losing wickets at regular intervals but 469 is still a big score and it is basically because of the contributions of the two batters, Sibley who scored his second ton and Stokes who scored his 10th Test ton. The two added over 250, they took their own time and now have England in a very promising position. Nobody except for the two contributed a lot. Buttler did get off to a start. Bess played a decent cameo towards the end but it was Stokes and Sibley's partnership which was the highlight.

Hello and welcome to Day 2 of the 2nd Test between England and West Indies. It was a slow and steady Day 1 but it were the hosts who had the upper hand. Sibley has been patient and will look to continue to keep his calm and composure and do the same. Stokes too played a very disciplined innings and showed his maturity. The pair have added 126 runs and would look to build on it. West Indies, on the other hand, will not be disheartened as they haven't leaked a lot of runs and can begin the day with the new ball. The tourists would look to put on a better show with the second new ball and look to strike early and end this stand. What do we have in store on Day 2?

The day though began brilliantly for the visitors, they won the toss, elected to bowl under overcast conditions, got two early wickets, dismissed Root but after that, their bowlers have had no answers to the stubbornness of Stokes and Sibley. To add to that, their star from the first Test, Gabriel, did not seem to be at his best and was struggling with fitness. Despite all of that though, the Windies would know a couple of quick wickets on Day 2 and they are right back in this. However, another good partnership will see them fall well behind in the game. A good session of Test cricket. England were straightaway on the back foot as they lost Crawley in the first ball of the session but Root and Sibley solidified the innings with a -run stand before the skipper departed. Sibley though has been going along nicely and has had no problem in leaving and defending deliveries. Stokes too has been cautious in his approach and the pair have added 31 so far. West Indies will be happy with their effort as they managed to pick two wickets and have kept the run check at bay. A shared session is what one can say and this Test match has been nicely poised on the first day so far. A good little session of Test cricket! The English started off well, their batters were solid to begin with and managed to get their partnership off to a start but a master move by Holder to bring on Chase saw them get a wicket they would have desperately wanted. The Windies would want to continue taking wickets after the break whereas England would hope they could build partnerships. Let's hope we have a long good session of Test cricket.

West Indies skipper, Jason Holder, says they want to make use of the overhead conditions hence the decision. Informs they are unchanged from their last game. On the bowlers, he says they have held up quite well and he expects them to continue to do it. Tells the most important thing is to learn and keep growing. Says the victory has made a lot of people back home smile and they want that to continue.

Just like the first Test, the start of the second Test was also delayed due to rain. We are all set to get underway now as the rain has stopped. After being humbled in the first Test by the visitors, the hosts received a boost in the form of Joe Root, who has returned to the squad and they will expect that he leads his team to a victory and level the series. But, they have been dealt a big blow with Jofra Archer being ruled out of the Test as he breached the bio-secure protocols. He will be spending 5 days in quarantine and will undergo 2 Covid-19 tests before he can rejoin the squad. This is a big blow as he was England's best bowler in the first Test. Who will replace him? That question will be an interesting one to keep an eye on. They need their batting to pull their socks up and stick it out in the middle. West Indies, on the other hand, have plenty to be pleased about. They won the first match comfortably and will be looking to repeat the performance and win the series with one game to spare.
