Right then, that's it from us but the action continues in the Abu Dhabi T10 competition as we move to the business end of the season. We have three more game lined up for you tomorrow i.e, 5th December. The first game of the day will be played between the Bangla Tigers and the Morrisville Samp Army. That game will start at 5.00 pm IST (11.30 am GMT). But as you know, you can always tune in early for the build-up. Until then, take care and cheers!
Benny Howell the skipper of Bangla Tigers is up for a chat. He says that it was nice to win the toss and restrict the opposition to a low score. Lauds Sams and Gabriel for their effort with the ball. Adds that Jordan Cox is in some serious form and the mood in the camp is amazing. Closes by saying that they want to carry the winning momentum.
Daniel Sams is the Player of the Match for his outstanding spell. He says that the pitch played well and the bowlers got the rewards. Adds that it was an important game and they needed the win. Shares that a huge win will boost their net run rate. Ends by saying that hopefully they keep going and qualify for the finals.
Team Abu Dhabi did not have a huge score to defend and the bowlers failed to apply the pressure. James Fuller got the early wicket but the rest of the bowlers were taken to the cleaners as the Tigers won the match with more than five overs to spare. Earlier today, Team Abu Dhabi could only muster 66 runs on the board as none of the batters got into double figures except for Dwaine Pretorius and Rumman Raees. Daniel Sams has an outstanding day with the ball picking three wickets while Shannon Gabriel and Benny Howell chipped in with a couple. Bangla Tigers move up the table while Team Abu Dhabi are knocked out of the tournament after losing their fifth match in a row.
A comphrehensive win for the Bangla Tigers who have hammered the Team Abu Dhabi by 9 wickets and in fine fashion. Chasing a lowish score of 67 for the win, the Tigers lost Avishka Fernando early on for a duck but Jordan Cox carried on his fine form and in the company of Kusal Mendis, the duo got the job done and move to number five in the points table. Jordan Cox was the aggresor in the partnership as he made yet another fifty and became the highest scorer of the season so far. A good outing for the Bangla Tigers overall.
