Man of the Match

Commentry
Well, that is it from this game. The T10 action though continues as the second game comes your way. Just switch tabs and enjoy all the action from the second game where Team Abu Dhabi take on Qalandars.
Hmm! Whom to give the MOM award? The Professor? Or someone from the Tigers? The latter. KARIM JANAT has been named as the Man of the Match for his 2-0-13-0. Bowlers have a say too!
Andre Fletcher is in for a chat! He says they needed that win and it was a total team effort. Adds that they have a game tomorrow and he hopes they can repeat the performance.
Earlier in the day, some good bowling by the Tigers saw them restrict the Arabians for a score just around the 100-run mark. Even though they did not pick any wickets, they bowled good, testing lines. The Arabians would feel they missed out as they could have added 20-25 more runs, which would have helped their cause. Hafeez was the main player with the blade for them, but in the end, it would not matter as the total was chased down by the Tigers.
With the ball, the Arabians were not really bad but they were not pressing and let the batters take the stronghold. They let Charles, Fletcher and Hossain to hit them for boundaries at the start and when they did start to pick at the wickets, it was already too little, too late.
Chasing 104, they started off in good fashion but lost Charles towards the start. Then, it was Fletcher and Afif Hossain, who accelerated in the middle overs and kept chipping away at the boundaries. Fletcher then went on a good streak and kept fetching the boundaries before he fell. Afif and Suri then took it upon themselves to make the job easier and even though, they lost 2 wickets after this, the hard work was done and they closed off a good chase.
A comprehensive effort from the Bengal Tigers has seen them chase this total down with ease. Even though they lost a couple of wickets, there were in command of the chase throughout and they have won the game with 6 wickets remaining.

OUT! RUN OUT! Not sure why the umpire went upstairs. Maybe he was blinded by the players in front of him. This is a full ball on the pads, Suri whips it uppishly but wide of the deep mid-wicket fielder. They take one, there is some confusion and they go for the second. Suri wanted two but his partner intially said no but then went for it. Too late as the throw comes to the keeper who runs ahead, collects it on the second attempt and then hits the stumps at his end. The umpire takes it upstairs and replays show that Suri is a goner.
The third umpire is called into play to check this run out appeal. Should be out and replays roll in...OUT IT IS!

SIX! Over the ropes and just another big hit away now! Suri comes down the track and lofts it towards long on. For a second Evans thought he is in with a chance but the wind takes it over the ropes.

OUT! Afif holes out! Too little too late though! He comes out and looks to heave it over the leg side. Is done in by the lack of pace. Ends up skying it up in the air towards long off where Malik makes no mistake. A good little innings from Afif. 13 needed from 18.
