Exclusive Rahul Dravid's told me I'm playing

KL Rahul, the flamboyant right-hander for India, spoke candidly on being selected for the pivotal match against Pakistan in the Super Four round of the upcoming Asia Cup 2023. At the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Monday, September 11, India famously defeated the Men in Green with a 228-run victory thanks in large part to KL Rahul’s magnificent century. Rahul was notably added to the team after Shreyas Iyer suffered a back spasm. Rahul’s claimed that barely a few minutes prior to kickoff, head coach Rahul Dravid’s informed him of his inclusion.

“Rahul Dravid’s bhai told me I’m playing five minutes before the toss. Since I assumed I’d be serving water, I didn’t bring anything. I’ve experienced strange stuff throughout my career, KL Rahul’s said on Star Sports.
