Javed Miandad, who used to play for Pakistan, recently said negative things about India and the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India). Miandad thought that Pakistan shouldn’t go to India for the future ODI World Cup, which is set to happen at the end of the year 2023.
He thought that the Pakistan team shouldn’t play games in India unless the BCCI was willing to come to Pakistan. In the World Cup, India and Pakistan will play each other on October 15 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. This is according to a draft plan that the International Cricket Council (ICC) just put out.
But before the World Cup, Javed Miandad thought that it was now time for the Indian team to go to Pakistan and play a match. The last time India went to Pakistan was for the 50-over Asia Cup in 2008. Since then, the bilateral series hasn’t happened because of political problems between the two countries. Miandad said this after Pakistan was forced to use a hybrid model to hold the next Asia Cup.
“Pakistan went to India in 2012 and again in 2016. Now it’s India’s turn to come here. If I had to choose, I would never play a match in India, not even the World Cup. The Times of India reported that Javed Miandad said, “We are always ready to play India, but they never act the same way.”
“Pakistan cricket is bigger,” he said. “We are still making good players, so I don’t think it will make a difference if we don’t go to India.”
I always say that you can’t choose who lives next door. Javed Miandad
Miandad also talked about how it’s better to live together and how cricket is a sport that pulls people together. He said that politics shouldn’t have anything to do with cricket.
“I always say that you can’t choose your friends, so it’s best to work together. Miandad said, “I have always said that cricket is a sport that brings people together and can help clear up misunderstandings and hurt feelings between countries.”
