For the first time in his two-year career, Andre Russell has been selected for the T20I squad. In the T20 World Cup 2021, he last competed for the West Indies. The West Indies’ January 2020 T20I player Sherfane Rutherford has managed to find a spot in the team. The team will still be led by Rovman Powell. The new Powell’s deputy is Shai Hope. For this series, Obed McCoy, Odean Smith, Johnson Charles, and Oshane Thomas have not been selected to the team. Following his debut in the last match of the recently finished series against England, Matthew Forde has also managed to find a spot in the team.
