On September 30, at the Baraspara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati, there will be a warm-up game for the ICC Cricket World Cup between India and England IND vs ENG. While England has been fantastic by winning four straight games, India has been in good form lately, winning three of their previous five games. Cricket between the two teams would be a nice match.
Australia prevented India from sweeping the series on Wednesday by defeating them by 66 runs in the third and final ODI. Pat Cummins elected to bat after flipping the coin. They scored a surprising 352 runs for seven overall as their batsmen attacked from the get-go, but Indian bowlers did moderate their pace a bit in the final 15 overs of the Australian innings. Despite their best efforts, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Shreyas Iyer, India was dismissed for 286 by Australia’s excellent bowling, making it difficult for them to attain the target.
England batted first and got off to a roaring start thanks to the bowlers being taken to cleaner by Philip Salt and Will Jacks. With 89 runs, Sam Hain—who batted in the bottom middle order—also made a substantial contribution, helping England surpass the 330-run mark and reach 334 for eight after 50 overs. Thanks to Paul Stirling, Ireland started the chase off well by hammering the bowlers all over the place. Although it seemed that Ireland was still in the game at that point, a double strike in the next two overs caused them to lose the game by 48 runs.
