The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Virat Kohli are having a tremendous season in the coveted IPL 2025. Notably, the team is on a fantastic run right now. The team’s leading run scorer is once again the renowned opening batsman.
Having dominated several of the best bowlers in his career, Virat is without a doubt one of the best batters in modern cricket. But one question never goes away: Which bowler has the Indian cricketing legend faced the most hard?
During a media appearance, a fan posed this intriguing query, and the RCB legend responded by naming the bowlers he thought were the hardest in each game style. In Test matches, Virat Kohli brought up the renowned English pacer James Anderson; in T20 cricket, he highlighted Sunil Narine; and in 50-over cricket, he named Lasith Malinga and Adil Rashid.
The hardest bowler I’ve encountered? I’ve faced many hurdles from many people. James Anderson of England was by far the hardest in Test cricket. I believe that Sunil Narine has been a very hard player to pick in T20 cricket for a constant period of 15 years. I can’t, but this man (who is referring to Rajat Patidar) strikes him for fun. I think (Lasith) Malinga was fairly good at one-day cricket; he was challenging to deal with. During the media appearance, Kohli stated, “Adil Rashid is excellent, from England—probably the toughest ODI spinner that I have faced.”
