In the 19th over of the 59th IPL 2025 (Indian Premier League) match between the Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, Shashank Singh executed a beautiful, well-thought-out, and spontaneous ramp shot against Akash Madhwal’s bowling. The right-handed hitter ramped the ball over the fine leg region after making good line and length judgements.
At the end, Madhwal attempted to keep the ball out of the hitters’ reach and constantly planned to operate in the broad length. As he crossed the crease, Singh, who was aware of the right-arm pacer’s preparations, planned the ramp shot. Shashank got his bat on the ball just in time as Madhwal attempted the wide yorker.
The ball was lofted sufficiently to clear the fine leg fielder, who was inside the 30-yard circle, and the ramp shot was done flawlessly. In the visiting team’s pavilion, the members were happy when Shashank Singh scored four runs for PBKS and himself. The fielding team was not really pleased with the shot, but the commentators were impressed as well.

Shashank Singh registers his 4th fifty-plus score in IPL
Shashank Singh played one of the best knocks of his IPL career in the 59th match of the IPL 2025. The right-handed batter came to the crease when his side was 101/4 after 10.3 overs, having just lost the skipper, Shreyas Iyer, at a crucial stage of the match.
The emerging batter took his time to anchor the innings from his end and allowed Nehal Wadhera, who was already set in the middle, to play his shots. After getting set, Singh went after the bowlers and provided good finishing touches to his team’s innings.
During his stay at the crease, the right-handed batter scored an unbeaten 59*(30), which included five fours and three sixes at a strike rate of 196.66. His knock helped PBKS post a total of 219/5 on the board. It was the fourth fifty-plus score of Shashank’s career in the cash-rich league.
