As the second player after Virat Kohli to amass over 6000 runs for a single club in T20 history, Rohit Sharma continued to shatter records in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
On May 1 (Thursday), Rohit accomplished the feat while batting for the Mumbai Indians against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium in Jaipur.
After Rohit Sharma struck his 29th run, he was added to the list that only contained Kohli.
For Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Kohli has amassed 8871 runs in the IPL and Champions League (CLT20) together.
With 277 runs at an average of 34 and a strike rate of 156.4 in 10 games this season, Rohit has been in outstanding form and has struck three fifties in his previous four innings (combined).
Rohit, however, failed to convert his start against RR and was finally dismissed for 53 off 36 balls by RR captain Riyan Parag.
