The Delhi Capitals, which are led by David Warner, are the only team in IPL 2023 that hasn’t won a match yet. They have lost all five of their games so far, and their bad luck has only gotten worse after it was reported that several pieces of cricket equipment were stolen from their kit bags. The report says that on the way from Bangalore to Delhi, bats, pads, shoes, leg pads, and gloves were stolen.
Last week, Royal Challengers Bangalore beat Delhi Capitals by a large margin, which was their fifth straight loss of the season.
Even though they didn’t do well in their last game, the players were shocked when they got to Delhi from Bangalore and found things stolen from their bags.
“When they heard that everyone had lost something from their kit bags, they were all shocked. This is the first time something like this has ever happened, and the issue was brought up right away with the logistics staff, the police, and then the airport. “The investigation is going on,” a source told The Indian Express.
The report said that 16 bats, pads, shoes, leg pads, and gloves were stolen. The bats belonged to Delhi captain David Warner, all-rounder Mitchell March, Phil Salt of England, and Yash Dhull. Each of the stolen bats is thought to be worth INR one lakh. After the players told the franchise that some of their gear was gone, a complaint was filed.
During the event, the players’ kit bags and luggage are taken care of by a logistics company. This company makes sure that the bags get to the right place in time for the games. After each game, all of the players leave their bags outside their rooms for the transportation company to take care of. The players get their bags of gear outside of their rooms at the place they traveled to.
“Our duty officer gave them a piece of paper and told them to write a complaint with all the information. They said that they would find out everything and make a complaint when they did. DCP (Airport) Devesh Kumar Mahla was quoted as saying that the right legal steps would be done.
