With their 14-run victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad in Hyderabad in their most recent IPL 2023 match, the Mumbai Indians have signaled to the other teams that the five-time champions are regaining their confidence.  Former Australian cricketer Aaron Finch believes that the young Turks in the Mumbai Indians squad are performing well in the absence of the team’s major names, which is a positive sign.

Finch stated on Star Sports Cricket Live, “In the absence of superstars such as Jasprit Bumrah and Jofrey Archer, the youth are standing up for the Mumbai Indians.” The team’s lack of superstars in the first couple of games severely hindered them, but these inexperienced players have now stepped up to the plate.

Former India cricketer Irfan Pathan is extremely impressed with Cameron Green’s performance in the current IPL. Irfan stated, “Cameron Green will be the next international cricket sensation. He is a talented performer, and we will see more of him because he improves with each passing day.

The legendary Sunil Gavaskar complimented the juvenile left-handed fast bowler’s potential. Gavaskar observed similarities between Arjun Tendulkar and his legendary father, and even referred to Arjun as a “thinking cricketer.”

Gavaskar stated, “Everyone discusses the extraordinary aptitude Sachin Tendulkar possessed at the beginning of his career. However, his temperament was truly remarkable, and Arjun appears to have inherited it. He also appears to be a sharp thinker. “It is always a good sign when a young player bowls the final over and delivers.”

In IPL 2023, Rajasthan Royals will play their first home game against Lucknow Super Giants at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. The team led by Sanju Samson is presently atop the team standings with four victories out of five contests.

Shimron Hetmyer played one of his finest innings in IPL history by assisting Rajasthan Royals in their remarkable run chase against the defending champions, Gujarat Titans. Former India cricketer Sunil Gavaskar praised Hetmyer’s match-winning innings in Ahmedabad and suggested that the West Indies batsman should bat higher in the batting order.

Gavaskar stated, “Rajasthan Royals have designated Shimron Hetmyer as a finisher, but I believe he should also be permitted to bat higher in the batting order. If he faces more balls, he will be able to score more runs and perform more match-winning knocks for his team.
