South African batter David Miller feels lucky to be playing for Gujarat Titans (GT) in the Indian Premier League alongside Hardik Pandya (IPL). Following his purchase by the Titans in the 2022 IPL mini-auction, Miller contributed to his team winning the championship in their first season. After missing the IPL 2023 opener against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), he rejoined the team and played on April 4 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi against the Delhi Capitals (DC).
One of the best leaders Miller has ever worked with, according to Miller, is Hardik. The 33-year-old continued by saying that since joining GT, he has gotten to know Hardik Pandya well off the field despite playing against him so frequently.
“Hardik Pandya is unquestionably among the best leaders I’ve ever worked with. I count it a great honour to work for him. Adam Gilchrist was my initial captain in the IPL. Miller remarked in a post-game press conference, “Hardik, coming from a situation where I never really knew him, played a lot against him, but to know him really well off the field.
David Miller went on to say that Hardik is his own person and that the team is very confident because of the captain. He added that the all-around athlete is a great teammate who makes time for the team’s youthful prospects. The Proteas batsman went on to say that he respects Hardik’s capacity for leadership.
“He is his own person, and I think he gives the team a lot of confidence. A great team player who spends a lot of time with the younger players and consistently makes wise choices. You need that as a leader because what he says sort of makes sense. He continued, “I’m really appreciating his leadership and obviously the choices he makes on the field.

The Titans were having problems in the chase at 54/3. Sai Sudharsan, who played a magnificent innings, helped his team win by batting an undefeated 62 off 48.
David Miller lauded the youthful batter, who had an immediate impact for the reigning champions. He praised Sudharsan for his talent and continued by expressing his satisfaction with his performance in the first two games.
Sai, obviously, didn’t play many games last season. It is incredibly motivating for the squad for him to show up and perform like he has in the last two games. He is a player with tremendous talent, and we need him on the team. It’s encouraging to watch him succeed so well. He did a pretty good job, and it’s fantastic to see him get Man of the Match.”
