The Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2023 is set to begin its inaugural season on March 4 and is generating a lot of enthusiasm among cricket lovers worldwide. In the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai on Saturday, the competition will get underway when the Mumbai Indians take on the Gujarat Giants.
The WPL competition will be played at the DY Patil Stadium and Brabourne, with five clubs vying for the title. There are several well-known women’s cricket teams, including Royal Challengers Bangalore, Gujarat Giants, Mumbai Indians, UP Warriorz, and Delhi Capitals. Stars like Harmanpreet Kaur, Meg Lanning, and Smriti Mandhana will be competing for the coveted championship.
The WPL will play a total of 20 games in its inaugural season, along with two playoff games. Given that the final is set for March 26, all 22 games will be played inside a month.
Harmanpreet Kaur will be in charge of Mumbai Indians, Smriti Mandhana will be in charge of RCB, Meg Lanning will be in charge of Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Giants will look to Beth Mooney to lead them to victory, and Alyssa Healy will be in charge of UP Warriorz.
