On Thursday, April 18, the city of Jaipur’s wax museum hosted the unveiling of the statue of the renowned Virat Kohli. The former captain of India was given a captivating 35-kg statue to commemorate World Heritage Day.
The entire sculpture of Kohli’s statue took about two months. The museum, which is housed on the grounds of Nahargarh Fort, already has 44 wax statues, two of which are of famous cricket players and former leaders of India, MS Dhoni and Sachin Tendulkar.
“They (the tourists) were certain that the museum should house Kohli’s monument. Anoop Srivastava was quoted by The Indian Express as saying, “The wax statue was unveiled today on World Heritage Day.”
The museum features statues of well-known individuals from a variety of areas. Among the monuments that are visible at the site are those of Mother Teresa, Amitabh Bachchan, Bhagat Singh, APJ Abdul Kalam, Subhash Chandra Bose, Jawaharlal Nehru, Mahatma Gandhi, and Kalpana Chawala.

They will be eager to resume their winning ways after suffering five straight losses when they take on the Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday, April 21 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
