After Anushka Sharma, the standout batsman for India, returned to the UK following the Sri Lanka series, there have been renewed reports that she and Virat Kohli are moving permanently to London. Since Kohli and his family have been frequent visitors to the English nation for the past few years, rumours that they will be making the nation their permanent home were circulating. The speculation has been stoked by the most recent photo of the former captain of India crossing the streets of London.
The 36-year-old and his spouse were pictured in a London restaurant after taking a break in December 2023 and travelling to the UK. The couple was spotted at the same city in February, escaping the spotlight, while they were expecting their second child. In addition, Kohli left for the UK at midnight during the victory parade following the T20 World Cup 2024 triumph, joining his family.

For me, to feel normal for two months: Virat Kohli
The Delhi batter, whose fame invariably invades his personal zone, has been outspoken about seeking comfort elsewhere. Given that fewer people follow cricket, he also emphasised how much he enjoyed living in Europe, where no one knows who he is. He made care to emphasise that residing in England helped him tighten his relationship with his small daughter when he returned for the IPL 2024 season in March following a UK tour.

“We were outside the nation. For my family and me, it was a strange experience to feel normal for two months. I was incredibly thankful to God for the chance to spend time with my family. Being a random bystander on the road and not being recognised is an incredible feeling, Kohli remarked.
