On Sunday, October 6, the first Twenty20 International (T20I) between India and Bangladesh took place at Gwalior. India emerged victorious from the match.
While there were other noteworthy performances from Team India that contributed to their victory, star pacer Arshdeep Singh‘s was the most prominent. With just 14 runs conceded over his 3.5 overs of bowling, the 25-year-old claimed three wickets. He won Player of the Match for his outstanding spell as well.
Tamim Iqbal expressed his admiration for Arshdeep’s performance, highlighting his outstanding bowling in the game’s last over.
The Indian pacer’s performance was highly praised. Additionally, he discussed how Arshdeep is capable of competing with players like Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah.
“His last over was bowled incredibly.” Others’ overs bowled are talked about, but nobody ever brought up his over. His overplay was quite significant. His awareness of his limits is the nicest quality about him that I found endearing. According to IndiaToday, Tamim said, “He knows what he can and cannot do and doesn’t go beyond his limits.”
“He has been playing for India for a lot of years and has been fantastic, so this isn’t just one game we are talking about. He bowls on the front end. He would undoubtedly be in the playing XI whether Bumrah and Siraj enter the game, Tamim continued.
With team India, Arshdeep has demonstrated his ability to perform when given the chance. The 25-year-old has taken 86 wickets at an economy rate of 8.28 in 55 T20Is, the majority of which he has played.
