On June 13, at the Arnos Vale Ground in Kingstown, Bangladesh faced the Netherlands in Match 27 of the T20 World Cup 2024.
The Netherlands chose to bowl first after winning the toss. Najmul Shanto and Litton Das were sent back to the pavilion by Aryan Dutt, who was selected for the playing XI. A crucial 48-run partnership for the third wicket was forged by Shakib Al Hasan and Tanzid Hasan.
With Mahmudullah’s assistance, Shakib continued to look for additional runs as Tanzid left after scoring 35 off 26. Following the departure of Towhid Hridoy, the two combined for 41 runs to lead Bangladesh to an impressive score. At 25 off 21, Mahmudullah’s batting came to an end, but Shakib finished unbeaten at 64 off 46. The Tigers scored 159 for 5 runs thanks to Jaker Ali’s undefeated short cameo of 14 runs in seven balls.
After a strong start, Max O’Dowd and Michael Levitt lost their way while pursuing. As Netherlands managed just 36 runs in the powerplay, the pair scored 18 and 12, respectively. Before Vikramjit Singh hobbled back, scoring 26 off 16, he and Sybrand Engelbrecht teamed up for a 37-run partnership. Both bats combined for 42 runs, with Sybrand receiving strong backing from skipper Scott Edwards.
Too much was on the plates of tailenders.
Sybrand finished with 33 off 22, but Edwards could only muster 25 off 23. Bangladesh signed Rishad Hossain, who ended the aspirations of the Netherlands by selecting Bas de Leede and Logan van Beek. The tailenders had little to contribute with 36 needed out of 12 deliveries. Bangladesh won the match with a score of 25 runs because to their complete containment. Bangladesh maintained their hopes of making it to the Super 8 stage with this win.

Sri Lanka eliminated from the T20 World Cup & could’ve been playing Qualifiers for next edition but as they’re joint host they qualified automatically.#BANvNED #T20WorldCup

So India will most probably face Bangladesh in Super 8 considering no major upsets
Netherlands will face eliminated Sri Lanka & Bangladesh will face Nepal in their last group matches
For India on paper Super 8 is tough #BANvsNED #NEDvsBAN #NEDvBAN #BANvNED #T20WC24 #T20WorldCup— CricPolFilmViews (@CricPolFilm) June 13, 2024
