From November 24 to December 11, South Africa Women will host England Women in the forthcoming T20I and ODI series, which will take place at East London, Benoni, Tshwane, Kimberley, Durban, and Potchefstroom. Between December 15 and 18, the two teams will also face off in a test match at Bloemfontein’s Mangaung Oval.
As the final one to be contested since March 19, 2002, the Test will mark the return of red-ball cricket to South Africa’s women’s arena. In the limited-overs series, the Test team will be revealed halfway through, while Cricket South Africa has revealed the teams for the forthcoming white-ball series.
Ayabonga Khaka, Marizanne Kapp, and wicket-keeper Mieke de Ridder will not play in the Twenty20 International series against England. Just three players from the squad that advanced to the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 final are present. For the first time since 2021, Faye Tunnicliffe is also returning to the team. Despite missing the series due to scholastic obligations, Seshnie Naidu will play for the South African U19s at the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup in Malaysia in January of the following year.
