DUBLIN: Ireland Women had to make a substitution following Una Raymond-Hoey’s injury during yesterday’s game. It’s Sarah Forbes who has to report. Playing in three ODIs and one T20Is, Forbes, 21, of Pembroke, made her debut on the international scene in 2022.
Ed Joyce, head coach of Ireland Women, said:
We’re all devastated for Una, who has put in a tonne of effort to become an Irish cricket player once more. For present, this modification is just applicable to the T20I series while we evaluate Una’s injury.
Sarah was added to the Twenty20 International team this afternoon. She is a technically sound player who has significantly improved over the past 12 months.

She can now strike the ball hard and find different parts of the ground to hit it. If she is chosen to play, we’re eager to see what she can accomplish.
