Things haven’t quite gone as planned in what was supposed to be a new chapter for Pakistani cricket, led by former captain Mohammad Hafeez. Since joining the club before of the Australia trip, Muhammad Hafeez—who also serves as the team director—has not won a game in his new capacity as interim head coach.
In addition to his challenges on the field, Hafeez is finding it challenging to build a relationship with the players in his first coaching assignment. His coaching style has drawn criticism, especially for the drawn-out and monotonous tone of team meetings. According to reports from Pakistan, several players find the lengthy talks boring and repetitious, which reflects their unhappiness.
