On Thursday, November 7, the Mumbai Indians Women revealed their list of players who were retained and dismissed in advance of the next WPL 2025 Auction. Retaining players like Yastika Bhatia, Natalie Sciver-Brunt, and captain Harmanpreet Kaur, the first edition champions haven’t made many changes to their core group.
Yastika will likely take up the role of wicketkeeper, and Harmanpreet will likely return to the captaincy. Swashbuckling all-rounder Hayley Matthews has also been signed on by the club, and as is customary for the well-liked organization, she will open with Yastika.
Chloe Tryon of South Africa has also been added to the list of retainees, joining names such as Saika Ishaque, Amandeep Kaur, Amanjot Kaur, Jintimani Kalita, and Keerthana B. India players Pooja Vastrakar and Sajana Sajeevan are also kept by the team for the next tournament, making a total of fourteen players saved.

Nonetheless, Issy Wong was one of the most startling names in the group of players the Mumbai-based team published. Other players released by the franchise include Indian players Priyanka Bala, Humairaa Kaazi, and Fatima Jaffer.
