During a crucial event at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, during the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) match between the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), MS Dhoni was observed becoming agitated towards a cameraman. CSK showed their dominance by scoring an impressive 210 runs after being placed to bat first.
A photographer shifted attention to the renowned Dhoni as CSK skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad and star batsman Shivam Dube displayed outstanding skills. As he watched the two of them put on an amazing performance, the former captain of CSK was waiting for his turn and looked irritated when his face showed up on the big screen. With a clearly upset expression, the 42-year-old aggressively threw a bottle with his hand.

Due to Gaikwad’s tonne and Dube’s fifty, LSG defeats CSK.
As they batted first, Matt Henry easily bowled Ajinkya Rahane on the final delivery of the first over, dealing the Chennai Super Kings an early blow. Ruturaj Gaikwad, who was back to begin the innings, tried to establish vital partnerships with Ravindra Jadeja and Daryl Mitchell. The CSK captain eventually found a trustworthy comrade in Shivam Dube, despite the duo’s lack of backing.
This season, Gaikwad reached his first century quickly, and he and Dube combined to make a hundred runs. With three boundaries and seven maximums in just 27 deliveries, Dube’s innings came to an end in the last over. With two balls remaining, MS Dhoni eventually came out to bat. He put the icing on the cake by hitting a boundary off the last delivery, helping CSK set a challenging 211-run goal for KL Rahul and company. Conversely, Gaikwad remained unbeaten, smashing 108 off just 60 deliveries, including three sixes and twelve fours.

LSG went into the chase with a lot of confidence, having defeated CSK by eight wickets in their previous meeting in Lucknow. But Deepak Chahar, the top bowler for CSK, struck in the first over itself, sending Quinton de Kock back to the pavilion for a three-ball duck. After that, Mustafizur Rahman got rid of Rahul in the fifth over, which ended the powerplay with LSG at 45/2.
