Pakistan achieved their first series victory in the home of the Kangaroos since 2002 with a historic 2-1 victory in Australia. Since Babar Azam resigned as captain for the second time in as many months, there were many discussions over the position prior to the series. Nonetheless, Pakistan recorded a historic series victory, and the recently appointed Mohammad Rizwan performed admirably in his first assignment. The keeper-batter, however, has higher goals and isn’t content with that.
Mohammad Rizwan stated that he wants to win in venues where Pakistan hasn’t triumphed in years prior to the Twenty20
Rizwan stated that he wants to win in venues where Pakistan hasn’t triumphed in years prior to the Twenty20 International series against Australia. Additionally, he encouraged his team to aim for major competitions like the World Cup and the Champions Trophy. The 32-year-old also stated that while he is okay with the players celebrating their series victory over Australia, he reminded them to act appropriately.
Since nobody anticipated our victory in Australia, it’s okay that we celebrated the ODI series victory. In a motivational speech given to the players in the dressing room on Tuesday, the Pakistan Cricket Board said, “But at the same time, all the players must remember they are ambassadors of Pakistan and behave appropriately at all times on tour.”
“I believe that in order to demonstrate to the world what Pakistan cricket is capable of, we must collectively work to win major tournaments like the World Cups and Champions Trophy. Long-standing records of failure to win must be broken,” he continued.
The T20I challenge against Pakistan will start on November 14
On November 14, Pakistan will play Australia in a three-match Twenty20 International series in Brisbane’s Gabba. Particularly following the victory in the ODI series, the players will feel secure in their prospects.
Australia’s Test players, however, will not play in the entire series since they are starting to prepare for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, which starts on November 22.
