Supernovas beat Trailblazers by 2 runs

That's it from this game! A very close encounter and it is the Supernovas who held their nerve and saw this game home and have booked their place in the finals of this year's tournament. With this Supernovas victory, Velocity have also been knocked out of the tournament. We are in the endgame of the Women's T20 Challenge as the final is slated to take place between the Trailblazers and the Supernovas on Monday, 9th November, 2020 at Sharjah. That game begins at 6 pm local (1400 GMT). Do join us for that crucial final. Until then, cheers and take care.
Chamari Atapattu is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH. Says that she played her natural game, freely. Says that she is one of the senior players in the side. States that she talks with her juniors and shares her knowledge with them. Adds that it was a must-win game for the Supernovas. States that they are a champion side and will play like a champion team.
Harmanpreet Kaur, the VICTORIOUS SUPERNOVAS SKIPPER, says that it was very close. States that every game that one plays, they want to win. States that it was an amazing game. Feels that the start that they got with the bat, they felt they should get 150. On the bowling, Harman feels that it was important to bowl short. Says that her team went according to the situation. On dew, Harmanpreet says that there was not much dew. Says that the confidence is very high after winning this game.
Radha Yadav is up for a chat. Says that in the last over, she was only trying to do simple stuff. States that every fielder is well and fit, when quizzed about Poonam being given the ball late. Radha says that she loves playing in such situations and that she can bring her best out in such situations.
Smriti Mandhana, the Trailblazers skipper, says that they should have gone over the line. But nevertheless, she feels it is a brilliant effort. Adds that there was quite a bit of dew on, says she saw that in the first innings itself, when they were trying to get the dew out. States that her side was just looking to win the match. Did not care which side, just wanted to win all the games. Hopes it would be good in the finals. Admits that this match would be a good wake-up call for her bowling and fielding units, who could have done well.
Earlier in the game, the Supernovas opted to bat after winning the toss and got a flying start from Chamari Atapattu. The Sri Lankan smashed a fine half ton and added 89 for the opening wicket with Punia. However, once she was dismissed, Supernovas failed to get the final flourish and were stopped for 146. With the ball for the Trailblazers, Jhulan Goswami was the pick of the lot as she scalped a wicket and also conceded just 17 runs in her quota of 4 overs. Stay tuned for the presentation...
The Trailblazers started the run chase on a high with Dottin playing aggressively. However, Mandhana from the other end found run-scoring difficult. Dottin was removed by her West Indies teammate Shakera Selman. She struck once again in the same over to leave the Trailblazers reeling. However, Deepti stayed out there and kept the runs coming in singles and doubles along with the occasional boundaries. Towards the final few overs, Deepti and Deol added quickfire 50 runs between them and almost snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. However, it was Radha who bowled a brilliant last over to secure a win and the place in the final for her team.
What a dramatic finish to the game! The Supernovas are through to the finals! Brilliant last over from Radha! Defending 10 off the last over against two well-set batters is a very, very difficult task but Radha has done it! The game looked well under the control of the Supernovas but the partnership between Deepti and Deol almost knocked them out but in the end, credit to Radha for holding her nerves and eventually winning it for the team.

LEG BYE! Tossed up on the pads, Sophie comes down and looks to play it on the leg side but misses to get hit on the pads. It goes to the off side and Trailblazers take a leg bye. SUPERNOVAS WIN BY 2 RUNS AND QUALIFY FOR THE FINALS!
Who will walk out to face the last ball of the innings? It will be Sophie Ecclestone. They need four runs to win this. Does she hit the winning runs? Or does Radha Yadav keep her nerve and see this game home for her side?
