Tamil Nadu beat Rajasthan by 7 wickets

Right then, what a thriller it was. We have one finalist and it is the mighty Tamil Nadu. Who will the Southern side clash with in the finals? We will find out the answer to that when Punjab and Baroda meet for the 2nd semi-final. Do join us at 1900 Local (1330 GMT) for the same. Until then, it is goodbye from our side.
Arun Karthik is the Player of the Match.
The bowling was excellent to begin with but the spinners could not weave their magic in the middle overs and that is what cost them the game. Not only could they not pick wickets but also leaked runs. To add to that, the fielding was also not upto the mark. Overall, one can probably say Rajasthan succumbed under pressure.
Tamil Nadu did lose two early but then KB Karthik and Jagadeesan managed to steady things with a decent little stand. However, it was the partnership between the two Karthiks which took them over the line. They added over 50 in which Dinesh played second fiddle. Arun on the other hand, was in his elements, he played a sensational knock under pressure and has ensured his side storm into the finals.
A comfortable win in the end for Tamil Nadu! Have to say the game was won by them at the back end of the first innings itself. 154 was probably never going to be a competitive total against this Tamil Nadu batting line-up.

FOUR! Lovely shot. Another boundary to Arun. He moves to his highest score in SMAT. Short length delivery outside the off stump, KB Arun stands tall and punches it through the covers. Plaves it well wide of the man at deep extra cover and gets a boundary. SCORES LEVEL!

AND, ANOTHER DROP! Rajasthan have themselves only to blame. Shortish and outside off, Arun looked to guide that over short third man. He hits it uppishly and the fielder there jumps. Gets his hands on it but ends up spilling it in the end. A single taken.

DROPPED! That is a drop. Full length delivery outside off, KB clears his front leg and looked to hammer that over covers. He though ends up getting an outside edge and the keeper dives to his right. Gets his gloves on it but fails to hold on.

Loopy delivery outside off, KB leans forward and looks to push it through cover. But he gets it off the inner half. The ball goes to mid-wicket and they sneak in a single. Just the 16 runs required now.
