So that's all from this game and from Australia's tour of South Africa. South Africa have bounced back brilliantly after the T20I series loss and have just whitewashed the Aussies. Australia go back home empty-handed in the ODI series. What's next for these two teams? South Africa travel to India to face them in a three-match ODI series, starting on 12th March while Australia will face off against New Zealand which begins on the 13th of March. Quinton de Kock, the Protea skipper, says that he is very proud of the boys and they played really well throughout the series. Praises Klaasen for his outstanding performance. On his captaincy, de Kock says that the coaching staff has helped him a lot and it has been a good experience. Adds that they did not start the summer well but this series win showed that they can compete with top sides. On the fresh faces performing, Quinton says that they have shown that they can do well at this level.

Heinrich Klaasen, THE MAN OF THE SERIES, starts by saying that he is happy with his performance. Adds that he has got a couple of injuries but will look to cement his spot for a place in the side. Further says that his hardwork paid off. Klaasen also says he is looking forward to their next series against India.

JJ Smuts, THE MAN OF THE MATCH, starts by saying that it has been a brilliant performance from the team. Adds they did well to restrict Australia to 250 and the bowlers bowled well. Mentions that it is an outstanding achievement for them. Further says they will look to do well against India for their next tour.

The Australian skipper, Aaron Finch says that they have not been at our best. Adds that they have been good in patches and they were put under pressure. Mentions that they need to do their basics right. Further goes onto say that the pressure is always on the top three but the middle order needs to perform. Finch states that that they will look to perform better against New Zealand.

Australia were poor with the bat. Nobody apart from Marnus Labuschagne got going on this wicket an if it was not for Labuschagne, they would not have reached 254. D'Arcy Short too played well but none of the other batters showed application and in the end, it ended up as a below-par score on this wicket. Stay tuned for the presentation...

Earlier in the game, South Africa did really well to restrict Australia to 254. They bowled smartly and every bowler bowled well with Nortje being the best as he picked up 2 wickets. JJ Smuts too bowled well and was well supported by Keshav Maharaj. Overall, they would be happy with their performance.

Australia were disappointing with the ball. They started well, picking up Quinton de Kock and Janneman Malan in quick succession but Kyle Verreynne and JJ Smuts started milking them for runs. Zampa got the wicket of the former but one would feel that Verreynne threw it away. Josh Hazlewood was the pick of the bowlers, giving away just 37 runs and picking up two wickets as well. The other bowlers disappointed and they just failed to hit the right lines and lengths on this wicket.

So, 3-0 it is in favour of South Africa. They were brilliant in this game as they have been throughout the series. One must have thought that 255 would have been a tricky target but the Proteas have made light work of the chase. Even though they lost the openers quite early but then came a brilliant partnership between Verreynne and Smuts which took the home side to a strong position. Once Verreynne fell, it was another show from Klaasen as he got to another fifty in this series. He, along with Smuts played brilliantly and by the time Smuts fell for a valiant 84, the game was done and dusted.

We are back for the chase. The Australian players are out in the middle. Quinton de Kock and Janneman Malan will open the innings for South Africa. Jhye Richardson will start the proceedings for Australia with the first new ball.

So 255 is the target for the hosts to inflict a whitewash on Australia. The Proteas will be happy with their effort and will back themselves to get over the line. Marnus Labuschagne is caught down for a quick chat with Mark Nicholas. Labuschagne tells that he is a bit shaken right now. Feels that he was bit slow at the start but they spoke during the Drinks break and then he decided to carry on for as long as possible. On his maiden century celebration, Marnus says that he was not sure what he wanted to do after making to his crease with a dive to get to the milestone. Tells that his family is there in the crowd and he is really happy. On being a South African representing Australia, Marnus replies that he left the country really young and he is fully Australian now but he has a soft corner for South Africa too. Feels that the wicket is not easy to bat on and hopes that Zampa can take a few wickets with the ball as it is stopping on the surface a bit.

South Africa will be a bit annoyed but overall they will be happy. Why so? You ask, because they started off brilliantly and had put the Aussies on the mat. They kept picking up wickets at regular intervals and it looked like they would restrict the visitors under 230 but 53 runs from the last 5 overs meant that they ended up conceding more than 250. Nortje and Smuts were excellent with the ball and ended up with 2 wickets each. Daryn Dupavillon and Andile Phehlukwayo got one apiece. Maharaj did not get a wicket but was tidy. Overall they would have been happy to chase anything under 260 and that is what they will have to.

After being put into bat, Australia got off to a disastrous start losing the big three comprising of Warner, Smith and Finch early. Labuschagne and Short then gave the much-needed stability to the innings. Short though could not capitalize on the start, Labuschagne went from strength to strength and his superb 108 along with cameos from Marsh and Jhye took Australia to a supremely competitive total of 254 on a slowish pitch.

The new Australian messiah who has dominated Tests since the mid of 2019 has arrived in white ball cricket and announced himself in style. Take a bow Marnus Labuschagne! His excellent ton has helped Australia post a very good total on a pitch that is not easy to bat on.

Australia skipper, Aaron Finch says that there are three changes in his side. On Starc's exclusion, Finch says that he has been traveling with the side for a long time and deserved some off time and support his wife in the T20 World Cup final. Adds that he wanted to bowl first too but he isn't too disappointed. Tells that if they can see off the new ball, they have the chance of posting big total. Feels that they are going little too hard in the middle overs and they probably need to keep wickets in hand for the end. Finishes by saying that they want to go into the New Zealand series with confidence.
