Stay tuned for the presentation...
The Rocks rocked with the ball! The pack bowled with fire and never let the game get away from them. The bowlers made a below-par score look like a stiff one and that deserves a lot of credit. The spinners were able to pull things back in their favour in the middle over by taking timely wickets and maintain the pressure on the batter, as Shaun von Berg and Ferisco Adams went on to collect a brace each. The pressure later led to some run-outs and Rocks were all over the Dolphins. Ziyaad Abrahams was the pick of the bowlers with three wickets to his name.
Dolphins needed 120 runs in 120 balls to make it to the next stage. But the batters made a mountain out of a molehill and that costed them the victory. Some batters got off to a start but were not able to convert it. The Dolphins lacked partnerships in the middle and that would hurt them a lot when they look back at this game. Dolphins lost three wicket inside the Powerplay and later their innings got derailed due to some brilliant bowling by the opposition. Khaya Zondo was the last hope with the blade but once he fell out it all went downhill.
Ecstacy for the Rocks and disappointment within the Dolphins camp. This was surely a game of nerves. Both the teams fought really hard but in the end it is Rocks who came out victorious. They have made it to the Semi-finals while, Dolphins on the other hand, do have a game in hand, and would surely need to get over the line to make it to the next round.
