Peshawar Zalmi beat Karachi Kings by 55 runs

Right then, that is all we have from this one-sided contest. Let’s hope that the next game coming our way between Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators will be a close contest. That game starts at 8 pm IST (2.30 pm GMT). Our coverage will start well in advance. So do join us for that. Cheers!
Wahab Riaz, the skipper of Zalmi, says that all the boys played well, and credits Haris for the way he played. Mentions that the bowlers did well in the Powerplay, and the target was to bowl length deliveries on this wicket. States that all the players in his team are match-winners, but they got the right combination for this game.
Babar Azam, the skipper of Karachi Kings, says that we gave a little bit too much with the ball and the dropped catches did not help them. He says that when you are chasing 190 then one needs to score 50 runs in the Powerplay and accepts that they did not do well in both the Powerplays and that’s why they lost the game. He mentions that plan was to go hard in the middle overs but Peshawar Zalmi bowled well and did not let them score quickly.
Mohammad Haris is the Player of the Match. He says that the team management has supported him a lot, and he did just what the management told them to do. Mentions that his idol was Buttler, but it Rizwan for now. States that they wanted to utilize the Powerplay and rectify the errors they made previously. Concludes by saying that youngsters get fewer opportunities in PSL, but he will grab any opportunity he gets.
Stay tuned for the presentation.
Peshawar Zalmi were quite disciplined with the ball and were superb in the field unlike Karachi Kings. The bowlers never let the game slip away and bowled with good intensity throughout the innings. Livingstone was brilliant with his leg-spin and other bowlers were on the mark as well. In the end, a comfortable victory for Zalmi and credit should also be given to the way they batted in the first-half as they posted a huge total to put Karachi on the back foot coming into this chase.
This is what losing can do to a team! Karachi Kings chase never got going despite having wickets in hand and some quality batters in the middle. Sharjeel departed early but Clarke and Babar on this flat-track were expected to score more freely. They, however, struggled and eventually perished while trying to up the ante. The required rate went so high in the end, that it became impossible for the batters after them to get anywhere close to the desired target, and eventually they fell well short.
Karachi Kings are just looking out of sorts in this season so far. They never looked like chasing this total despite the pitch being conducive for batting and have now lost six games on the trot. Another one-sided contest featuring Karachi Kings but Zalmi will not complain and they will be happy to get back to the winning ways.
