Pakistan beat West Indies by 7 wickets

Right then! That is all we have from this game and unfortunately from this tour as well. The ODI series has forcibly been called off for now due to covid and will now take place in June 2022. Pakistan have swept away the T20I series. There is still a lot of cricket taking place around the world and you can catch our coverage of the Ashes live on 17 December, Friday. The action begins at 02:30 pm local time (04:00 am GMT). Till then, goodbye and take care!
Babar Azam, the Pakistan skipper, says that they wanted to play according to the situation and they wanted to play till the end by keeping run-scoring going. He adds that youngsters have done very well and bench strength has done well whenever given chance. He adds that they are preparing well for the T20 World Cup and they have momentum on their side. He applauds Mohammad Rizwan for his performance and how he has worked on his game.
The Windies skipper, Nicholas Pooran says that he felt they lost momentum in the last two overs when they were batting and applauds the Pakistani bowlers for their efforts and feels like they were 20 runs short. He mentions that they hardly got any sleep last night due to the covid situation and he is really proud of the boys and mentions that it takes a lot of mental strength to come out here and play. He adds that the guys did get better and better as the series progressed and they have a lot of young guys in the squad and it is a great platform for them to showcase their talent.
Mohammad Rizwan is the Player of the Match and Player of the Series. He says that 200 is a huge total and they wanted to capitalize on the Powerplay. He adds that he keeps everything to god and he goes match by match and does not think of stats. He mentions that he has worked on his go-to shot on the on the side and he is continuously trying to up the game.
... The Presentation Ceremony ...
Pakistan have just been on a roll in T20Is in 2021! They seem to have all bases covered and no matter if they bat first or second, they look likely to win. Having set a daunting task tonight, skipper Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan yet again delivered for their team. The pair put on a 158-run stand for the first wicket and that set them on course to win the match with ease. After Babar fell, Rizwan still played his shots but maybe he a got a little tired in the end and gave his wicket away. Fakhar Zaman did hit some lusty blows as well and in the end, Asif Ali added the finishing touches with his quickfire cameo. The hosts put on yet another dominating batting performance tonight and they will be more than pleased to have won the series 3-0.
After all that has been going on for the last couple of days, West Indies went out to bat with a positive mindset and when they went into the break with a score of 200+ on the board, they must have felt they had done enough. The bowling really let them down tonight and apart from a couple of bowlers, no one ever looked likely to pick up a wicket. Gudakesh Motie on debut did a fantastic job up front as he did not give away many runs. The pacers just couldn't control the middle overs and the two Pakistani openers were allowed to just maneuver the play. Finally, the breakthrough did come in the 16th over but by that time the required rate was under the opposition's control. Drakes and Shepherd did pick up a wicket each at the death but it all went in vain and the visitors will be truly disappointed with their bowling effort.
Pakistan have just breezed through what should have been a difficult chase and have clean swept the T20I series, 3-0! This is the hosts' highest ever successful run-chase and it was achieved with the minimum of fuss. West Indies will be disappointed tonight as this was their best chance of getting that elusive first win of the series.

Dropped on Free Hit and Pakistan win! A full ball, on off. Asif Ali gets under it and looks to smash it over long on. Gets it high but fails to get enough distance and the ball goes straight to Rovman Powell at long on. He drops it and a single is taken. So Pakistan win by seven wickets!

OUT! CAUGHT! Fakhar Zaman departs but he has done his job! A low full toss on off. Fakhar Zaman stays deep in his crease and looks to tonk it over long on. But gets the bottom of his blade  and the ball goes straight into the hands of Shamarh Brooks at long on. Another wicket but it looks too late now.
Who will bowl the penultimate over? It's going to be Romario Shepherd.
