Faf du Plessis and Devon Conway have come to their own in the last two games having scored freely and played those impactful knocks right at the top. Aaron Hardie too batted well in the game against San Francisco Unicorns. The bowling from Texas Super Kings is a worrying sign as the likes of Naveen-ul-Haq, Zia-ul-Haq, Dwayne Bravo and Mitchell Santner are yet to put their mark in the tournament. MI New York, on the other hand, has 2 points from two games, having won one and losing the other. MI New York has one of the most destructive sides in terms of both bowling and batting in the tournament with superstars like Nicholas Pooran, Kieron Pollard, Tim David, Rashid Khan, Trent Boult and Anrich Nortje in their ranks but they are yet to perform as a collective unit. The defending champions won the season opener in a repeat of the last edition's final but couldn't back it up and lost against Washington Freedom.
