India A beat Bangladesh A by 51 runs

Right then, that's it from the coverage of this game. India A are into the finals and they will face their Arch-rivals and the defending champions Pakistan A. The game will begin at 2 pm IST (8.30 am GMT). But as you know, our build-up begins much sooner so do join us for the same. Until then, take care, and cheers!
India A skipper Yash Dhull is the Player of the Match for his innings of 66 runs. He comes up for a quick chat and says that the wicket was difficult to bat on so 211 was a good one to defend. Adds that the plan was simply to put in all the efforts and play out of the skin to win this one and it worked out well. Mentions that the talk amongst the team was to take this game as deep as they could and it all panned out well for the side. Mentions that Nishant Sindhu is the go-to bowler and he delivers every time the team asks him to. Closes by saying that victory for the side is the most important thing and nothing else matters.
Saif Hassan says a batting collapse through the middle order cost them the game. Adds that the team was playing as per the plan and did get a good start too but the middle-order collapse was too hard to withstand. Mentions that the side played rash strokes and apart from a horrendous batting display in the middle everything worked as per the plan. Closes by saying that the side will learn from this and will do better in the future.
Stay tuned for presentation...
Earlier in the day after being asked to bat first the India A batters could not do well and were bowled out inside the full quota of 50 overs on 211. Only Yash Dhull could capitalize on a start as he scored 66 runs that bailed the team out of a score that would have been a walk in the park for Bangladesh A. The top order did get started but was unable to score big. The bowling was on point from Bangladesh A with Mahedi Hasan, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, and Rakibul Hasan picking up a couple each while the others chipped in with a wicket each too apart from Mahmudul Hasan Joy as he was wicketless in his couple of overs.
The bowling was fantastic for India A apart from the first 10 overs where the bowlers took a beating. Ever since the fall of the first wicket at 70 the bowlers of India A took total control and pinned the batters back to the wall giving away nothing and they were well backed by a brilliant fielding effort notably by Nikin Jose who took 4 catches all of them being stunners. The spin duo of Nishant Sindhu and Manav Suthar took 8 wickets between them with Nishant Sindhu scalping a fifer today, while Yurajsinh Dodiya and Abhishek Sharma took a wicket each too.
Bangladesh A side batters were off to a flier and they had the game completely under their control with 60 runs of the first 10 overs without any fall of wicket. After their openers were dismissed, wickets fell like a deck of cards for them and there was no turning back. Apart from the top two batters, everyone was just a mere spectator as no one took the responsibility to put in a strong effort and see the side home. Wickets kept tumbling on a regular basis and from being 94 for 2 in the 18th over to being bowled out in just under 35 overs on 160 the batting lineup of Bangladesh A collapsed.
Unbelievable scenes here R. Premadasa Stadium as India A have won this game by 51 runs from staring at a heavy defeat at one point. What a remarkable fightback we have witnessed from this humdinger of a contest. India A have made it to the finals in style. Let me remind you that Bangladesh A side were 94-2 inside 18 overs of play.

OUT! IN THE AIR AND GONE! India A advances to the Final against the arch-rivals Pakistan A. Tossed up around the off-stump line, Ripon Mondol looks to slog this out of the park but the turn on this gets a top edge from the bat of Ripon Mondol lofting it in the air above the head of Yash Dhull at extra-cover as he takes it nice and clean. India A wins this one by 51 runs.

OUT! ORDINARY STROKEPLAY SEES THE BACK OF Mahmudul Hasan Joy. A fifer for the left-arm spinner as he tosses this up around off and Mahmudul Hasan Joy looks to chip it over cover but the bat tilts in his hands and the ball and in the hands of Abhishek Sharma at cover. India A just needs one wicket to win this game.
