Dindigul Dragons beat Ba11sy Trichy by 6 wickets

Right then, that is it from this one-sided encounter where Dindigul starts their season with a good win while Trichy will need to return to the drawing board and come back stronger in the next one. However, the action in the Tamil Nadu T20 League continues on 15th June where Chepauk will take on Tiruppur and that game will begin at 7.15 pm IST (1.45 pm GMT), but you can join us early for the build-up to the game. Until then, cheers and goodbye!
Varun Chakaravarthy is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH for his brilliant spell of bowling.
Earlier in the game, after electing to bat first, Trichy were in a lot of trouble as they lost four wickets in the Powerplay. However, their skipper, Ganga Sridhar Raju played a fighting knock of 48 while Ravi Rajkumar also contributed with some runs to take them to 120. Still, it was always going to be difficult to defend that. For Dindigul, Varun Chakaravarthy was the star of the show with three wickets while P Saravan Kumar, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Subodh Bhati picked up a couple each, and S Arun got one. In the second innings, T Natarajan, Ragupathy Silambarasan, Ramadoss Alexander and Antony Dhas all picked one wicket each but they did not have many runs to play with and ended up on the losing side.
Most of the work was done by the bowlers for Dindigul as they were chasing an under-par score. They did lose Vimal Khumar in the first over but Shivam Singh S hammered the bowlers all around the park in the Powerplay to completely take the game away from Trichy. After his cameo of 46 runs off just 30 balls, Baba Indrajith and Adithya Ganesh took the game close and in the end, Subodh Bhati played a few lusty blows to take them home quite easily with many balls to spare.
A comfortable win for Dindigul as they have displayed an all-round performance here and start their campaign on a winning note. They looked hungry right from the start and got the better of their opponents to register a six-wicket victory.
