Credit to Delhi and their bowlers. Kuldeep Yadav is in superb form and continued today as well. His spell was a game-changer. His three wickets of Rahul, Stoinis and Pooran completely shifted the momentum of the game. Delhi gave away a few runs in the back end but the batters did the job eventually. Crucial two points for Delhi.
Lucknow were short of runs. Ravi Bishnoi was the only bowler who tried to do some damage but the others leaked a lot of runs. Lucknow were 100 for 7 at one point. At one point even 120 on the board looked difficult but Ayush Badoni and Arshad Khan added around 73 runs to get Lucknow to a decent total. The momentum was with them but the bowlers failed to capitalize and do some damage inside the first six overs.
Two huge points for Delhi as they finally relieve themselves from the bottom place. The batters stood up for them today. It was a disappointing effort against Mumbai but today they batted well. Jake Fraser-McGurk brought a breath of fresh air for Delhi as he along with Shaw batted brilliantly inside the Powerplay. The duo added around 40 runs before Shaw fell. However, then came the match-winning partnership between Jake Fraser-McGurk and the skipper. Jake Fraser-McGurk scored a fifty on his debut and introduced himself to this league by playing some breathtaking strokes. Pant played well too on the other side. Both fell in the final phase of the innings but the job was very well done till then.
