Man of the Match
Matthew Wade

So, that is it from this game then! BBL action does not end here though as there is another game going on between Perth and Adelaide! You can catch all the action by switching tabs. Until next time, take care and goodbye!
Matthew Wade has been given the MAN OF THE MATCH AWARD FOR HIS BRILLIANT KNOCK!
The Hobart bowling was decent. Joel Paris was brilliant with a three-fer. Sandeep Lamichhane also went for only 24 in his 4. The fielding though was disappointing for Hobart and that is probably one area they would like to pay attention to after this game.
In reply, Josh and Vince both started off nicely but it was always going to be mammoth task. To go at over 10 per over throughout the innings is never easy. Sydney did try their best but have fallen well short. They needed someone to play a Wade type innings but that just did not come.
A strong win then for Hobart. To be honest, it was set up by their batters. The innings from Wade at the start and then from Jewell and Short later on took them to a score which we felt was above par.

OUT! BOWLED! Joel Paris is into the attack and strikes straightaway! A full ball, on off. Dan Christian gets across and looks to flick it towards the on side but gets hit on the pads and the ball deflects and shatters the stumps. Dan Christian tried hard but the required rate is way too much here!
