Match Abandoned

Commentry
Right then, that is it form this game which has been abondoned and we go into the fifth and final T20I with all to play for. New Zealand now cannot win this series, but they will give their all to level it while the Men in Green will want to get the victory and seal it. The next game will be played on 24th April, Monday at 9.30 pm IST (4 pm GMT), but you can join us early for all the build-up. Until then, Cheers and Goodbye!
Bad news folks! The inevitable has happened and the match has been called off. This was always on the cards as when the umpire called the game off there was a hailstorm all around the ground and it would have been a really tough task to get the ground ready even if the rain stopped. The visuals also show that there are puddles in different parts of the ground and it would have been difficult to fill them. New Zealand will be a bit disappointed as they were heading towards a good total and would have fancied their chances to level the series. Chad Bowes registered his maiden T20I half-century and looked in really good touch, but it was the aggressive knock of Mark Chapman which helped the Kiwis get near a good total, but the rain came down with just seven balls to go in the innings, and we could not get any more action after that. Mark Chapman remained unbeaten on 71 off just 42 balls. For Pakistan, it was Imad Wasim who was the pick of the bowlers with three wickets and all three coming inside the first ten overs. Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf got one each too. So, Pakistan still leads the series 2-1 and will go to the last game with the intention of getting the job done and winning the series.
Update - 11.39 pm IST (5.59 pm GMT) - There is nothing new to report on from the ground and the waiting game continues. All we can do is hope. Stick with us for more news.
The rain has arrived and the players are going off. New Zealand were just seven balls away from the end of the innings, but it is absolutely pouring down and there is a hailstorm out there. The visuals does not look promising, but we hope that we can get some action. Stay tuned for further updates.
