Over the years, the West Indies superstars Dwayne Bravo and Kieron Pollard have developed a close bond that extends both on and off the field. In the first season of the Major League Cricket (MLC), the two are now representing MI New York and Texas Super Kings (TSK), respectively.
Previously, during the Eliminator of the 2012 Indian Premier League (IPL), Bravo dismissed Pollard and staged the “aeroplane” celebration as the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) eliminated the Mumbai Indians (MI). Pollard celebrated the same way as Bravo after MI New York’s victory over TSK in the MLC match. Notably, the defeat led to the team led by Faf du Plessis being eliminated from the competition.
The celebration video of Kieron Pollard was posted on Twitter by MI New York. While Dwayne Bravo welcomed it with a smile, the MI batter was observed having an ironic conversation. Then they hugged one other to show how much they respected one another. “These two & their banter Polly wins this round, DJ!” the franchise captioned the picture.

MI New York defeated TSK by six wickets to go to the 2023 MLC final.
The Nicholas Pooran led MI By defeating Texas Super Kings by six wickets in the Challenger match at Texas’ Grand Prairie Stadium, New York secured a place in the MLC 2023 championship game. In the summit match, which will be played on July 31 in Dallas, MI will now take on Seattle Orcas.
When it came to the game, Pooran chose to toss and asked Faf du Plessis and company to open the batting. Trent Boult played a key role for MI, helping his team to restrict their opponents by 158 runs by taking four wickets. With 38 and 37 runs, respectively, TSK’s leading scorers in the opening game were Devon Conway and Milind Kumar.
In retaliation, MI had the worst possible beginning after losing opener Slade van Staden for only six runs. While MI attempted to take the objective in the penultimate over, other batsmen maintained the innings’ momentum. Dewald Brewis, who scored an undefeated 41 off 33 deliveries during the chase, was greatly relied upon by MI.
